How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Add one HEIC photo or select many at once.
  2. Choose the JPG quality. 90% suits most photos.
  3. Download the JPG, or all of them in one ZIP file.

HEIC is the format an iPhone saves when the camera is set to High Efficiency. It takes less space than JPG, but many apps, websites and upload forms do not accept it. JPG opens everywhere.

Your photo is processed by your browser on this device. It is not uploaded to a server, and it is gone when you close the tab.

Questions

Can I convert many at once?

Yes. Select or drop up to 200 files together and press Convert all. The new files come in one ZIP file and keep their names.

Does the JPG keep the location of the photo?

No. The JPG holds the picture only. The location, camera details and other hidden data in the HEIC file are not copied, which makes the JPG safer to share.

Will the quality drop?

JPG is compressed, so a little detail is always lost, but at 90% or more the difference is hard to see. The JPG is usually larger than the HEIC file, because HEIC compresses photos better.

Why does my iPhone save HEIC?

Apple added HEIC in iOS 11. The iPhone saves it when Settings, Camera, Formats is set to High Efficiency. Choose Most Compatible there and the camera saves JPG instead.
